Nemetschek IFC Viewer is an important component of Nemetschek's IFC strategy.
This viewer lets you view and interactively explore IFC building models in VR (virtual reality) mode, regardless of the CAD system you are using. Consequently, Nemetschek's IFC Viewer is the ideal tool for integrating the client and all those involved in the design of a project.
Nemetschek's IFC Viewer provides an intuitive way of viewing the building structure, 2D floor plan, 3D model as well as the geometric and alphanumeric properties of building sections or individual building elements.
The model data can be presented as follows:
-3D view of entire model and building sections you select
-Cross-sections of every story
-Hierarchical tree structure of the building structure
-List of building elements (wall, slab, window etc.) and rooms
-List of layers
Attributes and topological information on associated objects such as windows inserted in walls are displayed for every object you select.
26.04.2007:
In addition to new icons for desktop and files, the new Setup program includes a XML parser which is required to view ifcXML files in the case of certain operating system constellations.
23.08.2007:
New setup of version 1.0, because with the old version it wasn't possible to open IFC-Files on computers with special hardware configurations. This problem is fixed now.
Note: A new viewer version compatible with Microsoft Vista will be available in October 2007!

The IFC Viewer can now be used under Windows Vista
09.12.2009:
The IFC Viewer can now be used under Windows 7
